I mislead Steph on the timing for his joke, which lead to everyone to a brief panic. Hopeful now that things are almost back to normal you will all enjoy my little offering. I've wanted for a long time to build a mod especially for the units that are a little too oddball to fit, but far to nice to ignore. I didn't get it far enough along to post as soon as I would have liked, thanks to an ulnar nerve problem that I keep whacking again, but at least you can take a look at it now. It's barely a beta, but I bet you'll get a kick out of it if you give it a try. Let me know if you enjoy it enough to want more.

Me too! If only I didn't have my commitments to the Steampunk and Bharata Varsha projects I'd have it done already. Srsly.

The action I took a screenshot of looks like a Xmas display in a Sanrio store, by the way. Everything is moving.

Why bother to open birthday cards?

Yeah, it's kinda obvious that the lady isn't really getting sawed in half. And that Paris Hilton is never going to come over and wash your car while she's wearing a black leather jumpsuit no matter how many Whoppers you buy. It's still fun to debate who would win if Superman and Mighty Mouse arm-wrestled best 2 out of 3.

Turns out my house sitting is complicated by a couple with three children who are staying over part time. So an incredibly brilliant girl (about to turn 10) has been looking over my shoulder & asking fairy advanced questions about modding. This without ever having seen Civ. Since I'm primarily working on the Dark Continent scenario she saw Shirou's cavalry unit and immediately told me I had to include a zebra with pink stripes.

There actually is a biq - in terms of units placed on a map along with the shown city graphics. What's above is an authentic screenshot. There are more units, etc. that have been made since the first posting. So in Hailie's honor I guess I'll be slowly working on this. Her birthday is on April 12th. I've already told her not to expect it before this time next year.

Your work is a major inspiration. Hailie was asking about a lot of the FF units. They'll be pretty prominent in the "princesses" faction.
 
Include Pucca as a unit then.

so What is this , can someone explain me , it looks very nice and i care to give a try :cool: but there is one problem there arent any Infantry Units like big man with big guns like Serious Sam lol perhaps one land should been created for Military Freaks can be invented :)

That really makes my day to hear that! I'm glad your daughter likes my units.

BTW, I happen to have several unreleased girly type units I made for my heavily modded Playground mod (which, among other things involves replacing the extremely annoying Barbarians faction with a Girl splinter faction known as the Otenba League or Tomboys) that have been sitting around my computer for a while.

Since RL has gotten rather busy (I'm in the process of trying to buy a house right now) and I don't know when I'll be able to get back to modding, I'm thinking about releasing them all at once.....

...as soon as I get around to making previews for them, that is.

EDIT: I also created a new version of the magenta civ color (Civ color 7, to use Flicster's numbering scheme) that is more properly pink: I used a JPG file of Princess Peach, and sampled her dress to come up with an average hue value, then applied it to the entire palette for that color... I could attach it if you want....
