Hello everyone I have finally completed my first modpack although I can far from take alot of the credit.

My mod is based on the Thomas War 3.5 Mod pack here:

Self made modifcations:
First off the major hurdle was to combine the 2 main base mods together for a starting platform.
Added new resources:
Oil changed to : Crude oil : Crude Oil can fuel any modern vehicle unit besides the assault mech, dreadnaut and orbital defence ship.
added Sour Crude Oil: a less pure form of crude oil but also slightly more common to discover and find on the map by default. Sour crude oil fuels far less modern vehicles than its pure Crude oil counterpart. Sour Crude oil cannot fuel any air units and can only fuel the ww2 tanks, Modern armor unit (designed to run on anything that burns), transport ships and destroyers as they were designed less efficent and able to run on less pure fuels.

added Natural Gas: Natural Gas can fuel some late vehcile units such as Modern Armor, Mech Infantry, and Advanced air units. All these types of units of modern decent are designed to run on any type of highly refined fuel be it Pure crude oil or gas.

New Buildings Added:
Natural Gas Station: The natural gas station provides a +1 happiness bonus as it provides natural gas to consumers.

LNG Plant: Same as the coal plant but provides electricity with natural gas and is slightly cleaner (1 less unhealthy)
Refinery: Changed the refinery to have production bonuses with both Crude oil and Sour oil (5% bonus each).

Newly added improvements:
Exploration test drill: The exploration well is the mainstay of the mod. You must build these exploration wells to basically explore for oil (usually max 1 oil or gas spawns on map now). The well itself provides no yield changes as its purely for discovery. Yours chances are now much slimmer at striking oil than in the original petromod so now the world doesnt get flooded with oil and gas resources. And for an extra touch the test drill has a slightly better chance at striking gas or sour oil making that valuable Pure Crude Oil that much more strategic.

changed oil well: Oil well have a large production bonus on Pure crude oil and lesser on sour and gas deposits but very little production on non-resource terrain. Also there is a very very small chance of an oil well actually striking oil or gas(on par with mines discovering minerals). Making the use of the non-producing exploration drill a neccesity.
(has ability to produce all Oils and gas)
Improvements for discovered resources: can only be built on resource tiles like a vanilla oil well or such
Pipeline Improvement: The pipeline Improvement provides a very large commerce bonus to a gas deposit at the cost of a -1 production vs a well. (gas only)

Pump Station Improvement: Like the pipeline the Pump station provides a very large commerce bonus on Crude oil or sour crude oil desposits with a -1 to production vs a well.(oils only)

These improvements allow for the leader to adopt to needs of either higher production for military unit or building construction or commerce for money and research.
New Units and changes:
Only added one new unit.
LNG Tanker: a counterpart to the oil tanker (but requires Nat. gas instead of oils) and acts in the same ways.
Changed:
All Units that would use any iron in their construction or weaponry now require it to build that didnt need before :, frigates, ships of the line, cannon, artillery, tanks and armor units.
All modern Vehicles now require some sort or possible use of either or fuels except Assault Mech, dreadnaut, and orbital defence ship which are nuclear only.
WW2 type tanks - require either Crude or Sour oil to run
Modern armour - can run on any oil or gas
Modern Artiller - Crude oil or Sour oil
Mech infantry - Crude oil or gas
Transport ship - Crude or Sour oil (No longer nuclear enabled, far to small a ship for a fisson reactor)
Destroyer (and stealth destroyer) - Crude or Sour oil or Uranium
Battleship - Crude oil or Uranium
Carrier - Crude oil or Uranium
WW2 Fighter and Bomber - Crude Oil only
Jet fighter, Stealth bomber, and Helicopter - Crude oil or Natural Gas
Also this mod pushes the need to use tundra and snow regions more prevalently now as it is the major point at which the only oil or gas spawn now and also provide the vastest area in which to explore for Oil and gas reserves.
I hope you guys like the mod it took me a while to patch everything together seemlessly. I hope it provides a much more realistic senario into the game in which oil and gas become one the biggest intergral parts as now it becomes the the virtual lifeline of your empire once you reach industrial age.
