Heya folks!

I figured it would be a good idea to drop a note in here to let people know that I'm starting a Let's Play video for SMAC.

Note: The volume levels are a bit high at the start of the video, but it gets corrected quickly.
 
Oh, that's a Deianira start, isn't it? Hope we'll be seeing some naval play... or crazy land raising :p
 
That's really cool. I didn't know that you could select all the SMAC factions, all the SMAX factions or all random factions by clicking on the upper left of that screen. Any more videos?
 
This is SO awesome. The atmosphere of SMAC is brilliant. It's one of the greatest games ever made and I love viewing the let's plays.

It has been a long time since I've played AC and it recently began to tickle my mind. This is an excellent way to introduce people to this game (and to refresh the memories of those who played before). Thank you so much for your effort on this.

Could you also include links to the other episodes? And maybe the game year also. Just a suggestion to allow people to get to these resources faster.
 
Quill's style is to give a lot of commentary. This is helpful to those who want to learn the game. By explaining the options, why he makes the decisions he does and his reflections on the current state of the game, I think his videos are more helpful. He does the same with his Civ V videos.

This series is just the beginning of the game, so he is doing more explaining. The commentary usually becomes more valuable to people familiar with the game as he gets further along.

I guess his style makes it more interesting to me. I am just returning to SMAC during a break before a new Civ V patch. I haven't played SMAC for about 8 years and need some refreshing of concepts and the user interface. AND I finally, found how to make the game work on my Win 7 computer.
 
Has this been discontinued?
