Civ5 crashes on startup on Win7

If this is a place for Q & As I have a Q. I have a Toshiba laptop that I bought recently for gaming purposes, it has Windows 7, and it crashes everytime I start playing CIV IV. Any idea what I can do to fix the problem?

Do you mean Civ 5 or Civ 4? Your thread title says 5, your post says 4. I would guess you mean 5 as you posted in the Civ 5 forum but just to be sure...

Umm...good question.
That was posted in the Q&A thread in the Civ5 area, so i assumed Civ5.
We'll have to wait for an answer .
