Put some up

Anyway im not to knnowlegable about africa, but since theres so much african things being released ceided to put them all into a mod

So if any1 has any ideas for african religions to replace taoism, budhism and hinduism that would be great

You should check Just Another Religion Mod (JARM) created by JustATourist and Refar, it's a great mod and they added Voodoo and Egyptian Mythology for example (+ Shamanism?).

See Here

:yup: very good idea. Maybe something like that could be done about the corps, but i guess finding suitable ones might be even more complicated.

Which is a very nice idea :yup:.
This gives neglected civs some place, without crowding the main game too much. Since there are not that many gameplay changes, it's also a mod, which can easily be played without the need of time to get into it.

el hidalgo has tried the same with europe, and i think having an asian and american version would also be nice. Covers nicely the whole world :).

Perhaps the religions could be like this?

Judaism(Optional, but there was the Beta Israel rebellion in Ethiopia)
Christianity(Definitely a must, perhaps Coptic, Catholic and Protestant forms?)
Islam(Another must, perhaps Sunni and Shia Islam?)
Kemetism(A bit less clunky than Egyptian Mythology, and you have Egypt)
Baalism(Carthage probably worshiped the same pantheon as Phoenicia)
Odinani(A native sub-saharan religion, the only problem is that the Igbo weren't very expansive)
Perhaps Bantu and Kongo Mythologies as separate religions

good ideas, honustly probably ill take out judaism, as i dont include middle east in this
Also i considered splitting up islam, but i decided against it, since only iraq (60%) and iran (98%) are shia, the rest of the islam countries (including all of those in africa) are like 98% shunni so i think ill just keep islam how it is.
beside that good ideas, havent really messed with religions yet, so ill be just testing them out, ill definatly take the two african ones from that religion mod, and of corse ill keep christianity, might seperate it in the future

Ive jsut been messing with corporations with my other TTT mod, and its worked out pretty nice, got cocacola, GE, etc. but id have no idea for African ones, will have to look into that.

Very true, but game changes will come in the future, i might change 5 or so civs, to make it more african, but not enouf to confuse the user. Also i want to add some other units to make it more accurate over time (ex main battle tank)

already started on another one, actually started it before this one but this one was easier, so it was completed faster. My next is based on Native Americans (including Mayans Aztecs etc). and then from that i could make one on the history of the americas, after that tho prob wont focus on places, more on time periods(rome probbaly)

Cant say i really understand how that would help me, since this is a mod about africa and thats about europe?

he has established all tribes and ancient civs from north africa with their religions, UU, UBs and so on: nubians, karthagians, egyptians, etc. ... but sorry for interrupting and bothering you.

No reason to apologize, your not bothering me. Havent really played PAE that much, i just skimmed over it a couple times, ill look into the religions since i already have UU and UB for those civs. thanks!:goodjob:

Hello,

this is the first mod I ever downloaded and I can't get it to work. I'm probably doing it wrong. Could somebody explain to me how I can make it work? Thank you guys.

Here's what I did:
- downloaded the archive
- unzipped it
- put the resulting folder in \documents\my games\beyond the sword\mods

Started the game. I can load the mod (at least it says so), but I can't load the map or any of the new civs. None of them appear in the game.

Any help is appreciated! :)

Please refer to this thread, it should help

For the corporations, there would be De Beers (Creative Mining), not sure on any of the others but some of the major US corporations would be over there in some form or another.

Started a short test game and I see some bugs.
- Due to whatever reason the resources don't have any tech prereqs. I can see uranium, coal and all others from the beginning on.
- Some leaders have white eye lids. You can fix that via putting an eye_shadow.dds in the Art\Shared folder.
- Not sure who's responsible for it, but I think some of the flags should not be teamcolour. I started as benin, got a white colour, and you can't recognize their flag with that combination.

Else good work so far :).

Why not use my flavour art styles for Carthage, Mali, Ethiopia, and Zululand? And I'm sure StrategyOnly's Ethiopia works as well.
