This unit was requested by Civinator for the CCM Mod. It is designed to be used as a "culture bomb" (sacrifice for culture), but I included a standard death anim so that people can use it otherwise. No sound for now, except "To be or not to be", with voice by one of the most illustrious modders around here. I will come back to it later, I promise.

Here is a preview of the animations:

(Run, Default, Fidget, Death)

I plan to use it as a base for a new scientific leader unit, Galileo, as a replacement for the old c'n'p one.

Thanks to Sandris, Vuldacon, Civinator, Utahjazz, Steph and Kinboat. Ruffs by Rosemaryr.

Thank you very much for doing this unit. :):goodjob::clap:

Lovely! He put a huge smile on my face. I just have to find a role for him. Culture-bomb? Maybe Shakespeare's Theater can auto-produce him. Thanks a lot!

BTW: I couldn't find a download-link in the first post, but I found the file in the database. Am I blind, or did you forget a link?

You finished him! Great work, themanuneed! Look, textures, and animations all look nice! :goodjob::)

(I can't see a download in this thread either, BTW)

Thanks for the nice words guys. About the attack I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: Cross-post with Grandraem - You're right, I have to fix that!

EDIT2: Fixed. Thank you Grandraem and Jorsalfare!

Nice unit!

I wonder who will be the Industrial Era Great Artist?

That is an excellent idea, one of the best ever! I'm not sure this is the kind of unit I could handle, it would be perfect for Utahjazz (remember his clown unit). I already can picture a bonus attack animation (boxing)... Maybe I should specialize in leader/hero unit :)

Absolutely excellent, Man. Too cool for school. I agree with Blue Monkey that you should give him an attack of some sort so that we can use him in other contexts. The skull could glow and pulse menacingly, perhaps.

Or... If you feel ambitious, remember that the bard wrote alot of swordfights into his plays, so I'd guess that he was quite good with a rapier. He's an actor, of course, so his style would be theatrically exaggerated, and his victory would be a dramatic bow.

Totally, sword/dagger fight, a phosphorescent skull for special effects. I never liked the Firaxis King units just staring while units battered the crap out of them.

I never really liked the king unit standing there either. At least two of them have magic attacks, and there's a Munit Monty with 2 Jaguars Warriors. 3 down, 28 to go!
