Saw we didn't have a Tavern thread for this.

Early calls for Vermont and Kentucky, no surprises.

[7:14pm] Dis: according to the websites romeny is up 19 over obama's 3, if we projetc this we see mitt is goign to win with a solid 464
[7:14pm] Dis: so election is over

i thought we had a pretty good run.

This thread is defintiely needed.. :p Do we put Senate/Gov. results here too ;)?

Indiana went Romney too, and Bernie Sanders has kept his Senate seat

I can't wait for this election to be over so I can delete romney from my autocomplete on my phone forever.

Still way too early to say who the winner is, let alone "project" any states.

KY, IN, WV for Romney. VT for Obama. :coffee:

We already knew that! None are swing states!

Anyway, it would already be interesting if we would know at which level candidates are in those states. Knowing if victories are larger or smaller than expected would already give a clue.

3-19 according to BBC right now. Frightens me.

ofc the 19 is romney

Edit: Oh. No swing states. Hasn't Florida turned in results yet? Were they a swing state or not?

(Election noob :wavey: )

Machinn, Democrat Senator from WV holds his seat, no surprise.

@LJ, Florida is a swing state, but half the polls closed 30 minutes ago, the other half closes in 30 minutes.

No results from FL yet, and it is a swing state.

But most analysts have put it in Romney's column and it isn't sufficient for him to win by conventional wisdom. Ohio is, otoh.

Just heard a snippet on Romney's internal polling showing him behind by 5 points in Ohio. Could be a rumor, though.

Virginia is polled as close to a tie. If it goes Obama, then Romney has an uphill battle. Strictly speaking, he could still pull it out with the West + Wisconsin/Iowa + Ohio, but that's very unlikely if he can't pull off Virginia.
