Okay, there is still some need for Great People names for the new civs and I've created this thread to keep track of it and allow people to contribute. I still need:

ARGENTINA - done!

BRAZIL - done!

MEXICO - done!

COLOMBIA - done!

3-4 per category is completely sufficient, and even single suggestions help. You can of course still suggest people for countries or categories that have been labeled as done if you feel that someone important is missing.

Hello, This is my first time contribuiting.
Those are the names of widely know scientists in Brazil, hope this helps:
Osvaldo Cruz (Biology)
Carlos Chagas (Biology)
Marcelo Gleiser (Astronomy)
Aziz Ab'Saber (Geology)
Santos Dumont (Inventor, known in Brazil for the invention of the airplane)
Urbano Ernesto Stumpf ('Father of the ethanol-based engines in Brazil')

That's what I call a first post! Thanks, and welcome.

This is just what I need.

Colombia (in chronological order):

Great Artists: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Rodrigo Arenas, Rodrigo Garcia, Shakira (not sure if pop music artists are considered "great" in terms of the mod)

Great Merchants: Julio Mario Santo Domingo Pumarejo, Carlos Ardila Lülle, Luis Carlos Sarmiento Angulo

Great Generals: Antonia Santos, Antonio Nariño, Francisco de Paula Santander

Great Prophets: Felix Restrepo Mejía, Julio Enrique Dávila, María Luisa Piraquive, César Castellanos

Great Scientists: José Jerónimo Triana, Julio Garavito Armero, Rodolfo Llinás, Jorge Reynolds Pombo

Great Engineers: Fray Domingo de Petres, Rogelio Salmona, Roswell Garavito Pearl

Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla could work as either a great prophet or great general for early Mexico, along with Carlos Slim for a late great merchant. That's all I've got.

Hello, longtime time lurker here :) Lennon789 did a great job for Colombia, although I suggest
after Felix Restrepo Mejía for Great Prophet, putting:
Camilo Torres Restrepo (an influential figure in liberation theology)
Alfonso López Trujillo (prominant orthodox figure in the Church)

Also, for Great Artist after Rodrigo Arenas:
Álvaro Mutis (poet & writer who Gabo himself held in high opinion)
Fernando Botero (famous artist whose style revolves around chubby characters)
Rafael Orozco (spread Colombian music throughout Latin America)

Awesome to see Colombia being represented in your fantastic modmod Leoreth!

Thanks for everything so far!

Edit: okay, the Colombian GPs are in with the next commit.

Does Peru use Incan great person names? If so, would it be possible to include Peruvian great people, and have them spawn only if Inca/Peru has a state religion? My first contribution is Gustavo Gutierrez as a Great Prophet.

José Ber Gelbard
Álvaro Alsogaray
Roberto Alemann
Jorge Wehbe
José Alfredo Martínez de Hoz

Wonderful! Are they in chronological order?

Oh, no need to be that accurate, but it doesn't hurt I guess.

The order in which they spawn is a little bit random anyway, so people who were active at roughly the same time don't need to be in perfect order. I only want to avoid that 21st century people spawn in the 19th century and so on.

Okay, all of them are in. This thread has been a complete success. Thanks again to everyone who participated.
