Should the Off Topic sections be reunited?

We, the members of CFC,

  1. Believe that Off Topic is an important part of the community of Civilization Fanatics.
  2. Believe that Off Topic functions better in that goal if it is united as one forum, rather than segregated as 2.
  3. Attribute part of the decline of Off Topic to the division of those forums.

And therefore humbly request the moderation staff of CFC to close the Chamber and the Tavern forums, and move active threads on these forums to Off Topic, where future discussions of similar nature will also be housed.
 
I petition that the Cellar to the Tavern be opened so that we can have a place to post without all the restrictions imposed by Tavern-level moderation.
 
I voted such that my vote would not influence the outcome.
 
People interested should probably kick start the OT survey discussion that's still stickied in the OT Tavern. It seemed to die all of a sudden, largely because I ran out of time to do much of anything with it (sorry!).
 
The April Fools joke has gone far long enough, reunite OT!

The only sticky I can see on the subject is in The Chamber? :confused:
 
We need to keep them separate and use the Chamber for controversial topics like religion and politics. Keeping politics, religion, and Ponies in the Tavern is fruitless and only leads to trolling and flamebait.
 
So the group in question did not get what they wished for when they proposed the split, and now they want to remerge so that they may tighten the reins and reconstruct the Red Diamond edifice close Pandora's Box?

(Unless we want to do away with Chamber standards entirely.)

Nah. In fact, I figure if Off-Topic is just a little more balkanized the putsch will be relatively bloodless.
