OTTOMANIA - Standalone Deity challenge - Epic/Large

There has been some talk about a Deity challenge on a Large map, Epic pace

So I bring you...Ottomania! All are welcome to play! Please...use spoiler tags

If I play & win this will I become an ottomaniac?

This was an awful map for Honor. Liberty would have been much better.

I don't want to spoil the map for others, and since I failed, I won't upload my LP unless someone really wants to see how badly I ran.

I will almost certainly replay and try a completely different strategy.

[EDIT: Since it's unfamiliar territory, I don't know if it was just because I'm not used to Epic, or Large, or . I would like to work this out, and get my revenge.]

Tnx for posting this map. I'm unfamiliar with non-standard map settings so it should be interesting. I played until t74 but it doesnt look good.

Yesterday I spent some time messing around with the Communitas map script http://communitas.wikia.com/wiki/Map http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=21590 (or, to be more accurate, my tweaked version of it), Really Advanced Setup http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=486324 and the Ingame Editor http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=436912. I made a couple of Ottoman maps, which I've attached, in case anyone wants to try them.

It's a while since I've played with Communitas maps, but in my experience they give a rather different game. You will need a navy ...

I think I'll be trying a couple of Communitas maps myself, because the standard maps I usually roll are so bad for what I want to do. I always seem to end up isolated, in the middle of jungles, mountains or some other, and I don't find out until I've played a number of turns. I'm getting frustrated by it.

Your last challenge was also on epic speed and I didnt like it. However I like large and huge maps and will play them if you post on standard speed

You don't need epic speed for a greater landmass. I have played many huge maps on standard time and it works just fine. Even domination. Epic is probably nice but I prefer to be able to play a game in one or two sit-downs.

I don't think I will be playing any more Epic games. I just can't get with them. The next map will be Iroquois, Standard/Standard/Pangaea. Watch my LP thread for details.
