Here, you can match animations and actions. Just check the action if you want to see an animation in game for that, and then click on the ... button to select the file. No spelling mistake is possible!

Oh, and when you click in a list, the animation is played immediately in the preview, so you don't need to open it with anything else to check what it is
 
This goes above and beyond my wildest expectations, Steph. Really. Phenomenal.

Btw, will the units have the capability of different armaments? Like mounting one type of gun on a unit to increase attack but maybe at the cost of speed?
 
Steph, I wish you made Civ3 and not Fire-axis...

Looking good, Steph. Do you have any plans for an armor modifier ? For instance, a battleship would have more armor than a cruiser or carrier, and a destroyer would have almost no armor. The armor would increase defense against projectiles (naval ansland artillery (AP and HE shells), missiles, and bombs. Or would you just adjust the defense values accordingly ?
 
I'm not sure of the extent of your program, but here are things I feel Civ3 should of had. I'm not sure if you could/would implement these features with your program.

Auto recon, like auto bombard except recon missions, or be able to adjust a unit's visibility/radar range.

Naval radar, have it adjustable. It wouldn't reveal the shroud/fog of war, but the naval units would see a generic sillouhette of another naval vessel past it's viewing range but within the set radar range.

Make precision bombing truly precision. Right now it's a toss of the dice what city improvement gets hit. Truly precision bombing would allow the player to pick and hit the selected target.

Now like I said, I don't know the depth of this program you're working on, but these are combat features to give consideration too, if possible.
