Conquests
Tribe: Greeks
Difficulty: Monarch
Size: Huge
Civs: 16
World: Default
Barbarians: Roaming
Other: Culturally Linked Starts OFF, Random Seed ON, Default Victory Conditions
I've posted a few stories before (Chronicles of the Philosopher Kings) but this will by far be my most ambitious story. I write them in an expository fashion, not like a first person narrative.
I always play as "The Philosopher Kings," which is particularly appropriate since I've used the Greeks through most of my time with Civ3, and will again in this game. You'll notice I don't use standard city names. All the cities I establish are named after loved ones. For example, I always make sure that the city of Claudia, my capital, is number one on the F11 screen since it's named after my wife; Atticus and Alyssa are my kids. For the most part, I play honorably, only declaring war when necessary for victory--i.e. to secure some critical resource or knock down a run-away juggernaut power.
I've got to go back to work next week, so this is my last hurrah with Civ for quite a while...maybe my last game before Civ4...so I hope anybody tuning in enjoys the story.
