Where to put our first embassy?

Please choose where you want a new embassy to be built.

Rome - 29g
Iroquois - 43g
Babylon - 31g
Zululand - 37g
France - 49g

I propose that we establish relations with either Iroquois or Rome. Iroquois because they could possibly help us in an inevitable war with the Romans. Rome because we could strengthen and smooth over diplomatic relations before a war breaks out that we are not ready for.

Also, I didn't add abstain since I don't see much of a point in this type of polling. But if it is what everyone wants I will add abstain in all future polls. Another one of the reasons is that I forgot to put it in this one :lol:

Babylon. They're cheap, and their right next to us, with likely expansion towards us. We only know of one city, really, though we can guess the locations of Babylon and Ur. And it seems likely we'll be going to war with them soon, so it might help.

And I don't see any war inevitable, much less one with the Romans. Especially if we just give them the iron. Sure, they could be legionaires, but they aren't too deadly if they have no excuse to use them. But then, take the iron, we hand them two cities easily and get attacked by regular swordsmen before they get it.

Well, while you can debate Abstain all day, you would still need an additional option besides:

None

This is different from Abstain in that it expresses the person's will to NOT have an embassy elsewhere.

OK, RM. Let's close this poll then, and we can either let Blackheart try it again, or I will post a poll for him in the hopes he'll see a way to improve.

You should add prioritized order, none, abstain and even a FA recommendation later on.

I put in my thoughts about this in the first post. There isn't a need for a prioritized order since the poll asks where to put only the first one.
 
Actually, Blackheart, you've polled this three times. Each time, the Iroquios come out the clear winner. In my opinion, you've attempted to get the WOTP. You could probably proceed from here with the information you've collected already. This is where the Leader part comes in. ;) Remember, just because the current Leaders are taking an early Labor Day doesn't mean your Term starts any earlier. ;)
 
I was actually planning to add that to turnchat instructions but I want to wait a few more hours and see if anyone else has any thoughts to add. I could just post these instructions as Deputy FA :)
 
Blackheart, we will not establish any embassies this turnchat, you take over after the tenth turn as mentioned, and see no need to create a little coup ahead of your immediate take-over. The price on the embassy will also go down for the next turnchat.

But I like coups :lol:. Ok Provolution, no embassies this turnchat, you're still the boss. I will repoll this for the next turnchat.
 
If we build embassies, we might as well check on the civs building the Pyramids, our no.1 wonder. This will allow us to plan wheter we can win the race or not. According to my most recent intelligence, I can't remember who's building the Pyramids so can someone provide the info?
Other than that, what main benefits do we get? I assume that we can agree to a ROP with the civ we don't want to war with just yet. What are the plans? Are we prepared to sign ROP treaties, and if so with whom?
