I propose to start something that will be fun (for some) and interesting for most. I grow weary of the lack of debate here on matters not concerning Phoenatica, and would love to bring it here. Who shall join me in PDPI

To be decided Donsig, I'll choose one when I have the time, but for now I must go.

me in. I suggest something along the lines of the nature of the universe/cosmology.

sign me up. Debate is good.

I prefer Zurs over disorganizers, but I shall let the first person who joined pick a topic and then we can start, so Pb, choose wisely or you might have an enemy or two.

I'm in

ok, let's start with a common yet controversial topic: Is there a God? (Phoenatican or otherwise).

There is most certainly a God, and we know him as the One. You may expect the Inquisition at your door sometime within the next hour, punkbass. Mortals have no business asking questions such as that.:crazyeye:

No, it does not. There would be far too many "Gods" around here. ;)

On topic, I find pb's idea good.

Since the dawn of times, we have been looking at "Gods" to give us relief, assurance and confidence. As the modern times approach, however, I think it is time for us to revisit that viewpoint, as we have revisited it twice already, when discovering polytheism and monotheism.

We are still building cathedral to ensure our people's happiness, which only proves how much our people believe in God and need him. However, as our population grows, the benefits of these cathedrals become limited, forcing us to ask ourselves what some of our people have obviously asked themselves. This question, of course, is an echo of the original one, "is there a god?".

My opinion: "I don't know."

Btw, count me in. ;)

my humble opinions:
I don't know, but

- it would be nice though

if there is a God:
- then there must be a force of evil too, as there is evil in the world
- there is perhaps a greater meaning with life?

(I think I am left with too many question to actually be able to provide anything useful to this discussion at this point.)
