World War II Governments

Can someone please help me as to what governments were used at the time of World War II by what countries, and also who the leaders are...

I am not completely sure about who Japan's leader really was, not sure if Franco's Spain was Fascist, but I know he sympathized with them, not sure who should run the Neutrals, please let me know if I have anything wrong.

hi, yeah spain was fascist. Japan was a monarchy, france, britsin canda and australia were democracies not republics and china was a republic not a monarchy though a large part of the country was run by the communists. Also Poland was techniacally a democracy though it actually was a military dictatorship so u could out it as fascist.

Is wood and tin necessary?
Would concrete be a resource, or is it manufactured (my thinking)?

Wood is an important resource of WWII, mostly for worker actions, such as;
Earth Bunkers (Concrete bunkers should be a unit that can be built in cities, but out in the country bukers were more like log cabinds buiried in packed erath).
Courdroy roads (in some areas of russia in winter, corpses were used, because when frozen solid they formed a tough road surface).
I'm not sure if Roads and bunkers can be linked to use resources collection. Perhaps you could have thre types of worker; Slave labour>no resource, Workers> wood, Combat Engineers> Concrete.

The USA got its uranium from a mine in Africa.

Aluiminum was used extensively during WWII, though you should call it Bauxite (the natural source) and restrict its location to Mountains such as the Urals. It was used in many advanced Tank components and rocket design.

Copper would be a more important resource than Tin, used for all hitech electronic City improvements and units.

Rather than concrete, you could have Sand and gravel resources, One found on the coast, and the other found on the coast and in hills.

I think that Nazi fascism should be different to spanish nationialism. Franco described Spanish Fascism as "monarchy without a king", I would recomend Monarchy, with pop rushing and Despotic production/food reduction.
For other forms or fascism I would recomend Republicanism with no war weariness and despotic production/food reduction.

China was in civil war, it had no government. The period in which it was a republic was under Yuan Shikai, and that period had already come and gone. China should be in anarchy, with either, Jiang Jieshi ("Chang" Kaishek) or Mao Tse-Tung as it's leader.

I think that Finland was Democracy.

I think Uncle Joe's "offical" titles were: General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (1922-1953) and Premier (1941-1953). I would ditch the Comrade stuff.

I know the Chinese were in a civil war, but unfortuneatly, I cannot put them in Anarchy because they still need to be able to build new units in order to survive against the Japanese.

Also, I am thinking that at the start of the war, I am going to have Japan not have any rubber or oil. I know they had some, but you cannot say how much in Civ 3, so I am going to give them none. but there is giong to be plenty in the Pacific so the Japanese will have to attack just like real life.

Should I make the sand and gravel easy to get?

I think I am going to have types of workers taht are only allowed to perform certain tasks...

A worker that needs wood, sand, and gravel to be built that can build Industry. Mines are going to be replaced with industry that provide huge boosts to production, but take a long time to build, and can only be built on plains and grasslands, or possibly only plains, etc...

I am also changing the railroads to be suburbs so that they cannot be built and so that there is no miracle fast movement from one place to the other.

Spain was techinally a republic at this time, although it was in really fascist.

I'd also change Mussolini's title to "Duce" (leader) as only very few people would give themselves the title "Dictator".

Mao Tse Tung (Communist guy) have a little army before the war but his army get importance and get armed by The Russian, he finish by kill Chiang Kai-shek ~1948 and then the China definetly turned on the Communism.
