Welcome to the Primus Gems and Jewelery Shoppe!

From my distant home land of the Community, I can bring you some precious few gems. We have discovered rich deposits to the north-east of our capitol but as of now, only small-scale private fortune seekers are digging the mountain and hacking the jungle for these stones. Gems make excellent decoratives on all kinds of items, especially weapons and combat gear, and of course jewelerry - which we can fashion for you right here using Nibbonian gold, also from the Community. Also, our grand pride is the fabulously decadent paperweight, fashioned from a solid 3.5 Ct. gemstone, cut to a perfect flat-bottom dome, presented in a fine wooden, silk-lined gift case, and hideously expensive.

Our range of "basic" gemstones and jewelery is presented below. However, Primus Gems and Jewelery prides itself on craftmanship and custom items can certainly be negotiated. Most customers will want to specify exactly which shape and size of stone they want, and what kind of jewelery to go with it - if any.

From private mining and purchase in the jungles, to weighing and cutting in Primus, and transport to Fanatika to the moment the stones are in our store vault, Primus Gems and Jewelery oversees the whole process to ensure that you only get the very best stones we have to offer. Finally, we fit the stones into jewelery, weapons, armour, or custom items right here at our shop in Bavaria.

Price list:

- Simple cut Primus Gem, 1.0 Ct. - 85 G.

- Elaborate cut Primus Gem, 1.0 Ct. - 120 G.

- Simple cut Primus Gem, 1.5 Ct. - 150 G.

- Elaborate cut Primus Gem, 1.5 Ct. - 180 G.

- Simple cut Primus Gem, 2.0 Ct. - 220 G.

- Elaborate cut Primus Gem, 2.0 Ct. - 260 G.

- Fabulously decadent paperweight, 3.5 Ct. - 500 G. (due to rarity and transport difficulties - hired mercenary escort to be paid by customer).

"Simple Cut" gems come in square, recangle, oval and round shapes. "Elaborate Cut" comes in heart, marquise, tear-drop, and pear. Purchased, cut gems can be fitted into most items at negotiable cost.

Gems can be fitted into:

- Gold neclace 80 G.

- Gold bracelet 50 G.

- Gold pendant 65 G.

- Gold Pin 45 G.

- Gold Ring 30 G.

All these gold items are simple versions. Elaborate, custom versions will be negotiated per item ordered, as will special gold-and-gem items like sword grips, small chest- or shoulder plates, cuff links, etc.

Display Stand
Here are some of our finest gems on display - just imagine one of these beauties ornamenting that big bronze helmet you've just bought, or holding down those stacks of important papers. All of them guaranteed originals from the Community jungles.

"Lady Blue"

An amazing 1.8 Ct. stone, beautiful clear blue and cut to a perfect oval shape. These are the kinds of Primus Gems that make all the malaria, dysentry, foot-rot, leech filled boots and worn-out machettes worth it.

"Sunburst"

This is one of the big boys - an amazing 2.8 Ct. stone, guaranteed to make a few jaws drop, would make an excellent centerpiece for a powerful head ornament. The real treat comes when this stone is seen in direct sunlight, where it truly lives up to its name.

"Deep Tear"

Another stone from our dark-blue Primus Gem range, 2.1 Ct. Truly a stone with character, capturing in it all the beauty and depth of a solemn tear drop. When combined with an appropriately delicate pendant, the Deep Tear would make the engagement gift of the century.

"Aqua's Pride"

A gem befitting the name of our Water Spirit, her name be praised, the sheer translucence of Aqua's Pride can hardly be appreciated on mere display. Watch the innumerable shades of blue gently glide across the surface of this wonderful recangle-cut and for a moment breathe the atmosphere of Primus-by-the-Sea.

"Heart of Pyra"

The most valuable and extraordinary find to come out of the jungle to date, the Heart of Pyra - Spirit of Fire - amasses an unbelievable 4.08 Ct! Cutting the Heart of Pyra took three generations of the ablest craftsmen no less than seventy years to complete, and will be on display for a short time until it is dedicated to the Community's proud warrior caste. Truly, the Heart of Pyra symbolizes not only fire, but passion and blood, combining the fierce spirit of our warriors and their unending love for the Community in a momentous stone.

wow. they look splendid, but i dont want to buy any at the moment. i have a question: would you like to purchase the gems/gemstones you see in my sig?

'ere now, where'd you get those? They are fine gems, that's for sure - but they're no Primus Gems ;). I only sell what comes out of the Community jungles, I'm afraid. But, as first visitor to the Shoppe, I would be happy to fit those stones of yours into some item you want decorated - at a discount price of course!

Also... I bet you I could cut those 20 small stones to a stretched-out tear drop shape, work on the point and edges to make them sharp, and make you some tips for those arrows that have no equal this side of the country. You know of course that gems will not bend, break, rust, or any of the sorts?

Brother Adam and Sister Eve enter the shop...

An impressive selection to be sure, Mr Ambassador. The Heart of Pyra is particulary beautiful! You represent the Community well in this strange land to be sure.

Thank you, my friends. Business is slow today but I am working on several custom orders. Once the people of Fanatika become better acquainted with these fine Primus Gems, I am confident they will become popular items among those of good taste.

How are the sandals?

mm, could you work my gems/gemstones into a sword, a dagger and a shield?

Of course! Will you be providing your own weapons? I would be happy to purchase them for you but you will have to be more specific as I'll order them at Eyrei's Army Surplus. Do you want all your stones worked into that equipment, or just the 3 Rare Gemstones?

For your convenience, here's Eyrie's price list:

stone axe: 25 g
shortbow: 60 g (a currently state of the art weapon)
20 arrows: 20 gp
bronze spear: 60 gp
iron spear: 85 gp
animal hide armor: 30 g
bronze shield: 40 g
iron shield: 70 gp
emblazoned bronze shield: 75 gp
bronze armor: 120 gp
ceremonial bronze armor: 250 gp
iron breastplate: 150 gp
iron helmet: 30 gp
plumed iron helmet: 70 gp
bronze sword: 80 gp
iron sword: 120

As you will be providing your own stones, only the cost of working them into the equipment will be added to the weapon purchase - and of course, you being my first customer, there may be a nice surprise or two in it too ;)

I would like too order a custom made necklace :).

How much would it cost to have a necklace fashioned with one lady blue and maybe some small Aqua's Pride around it?

To answer the question of where he got them at:

He got them from S&E inc. (Which I own) We mine them from the mountains that I own and sell just the gems for a pretty cheap price. jdd2007 is the only person who has ever bought any.

The named stones in the display case are rather unqique items, but let's see... A comparable set of Primus Gems would amount to something like this...

*takes a sheet of parch and bit of coal, starts drawing sketch of what the necklace would look like*

One simple cut oval gem, 1.5 Carat, at 150 gold...

Two simple cut rectangle gems, 1.0 carat each, 85 gold each...

A custom-made gold necklace to hold three gems, say 90 gold...

Normally this would be some 410 gold, but as the Shoppe is new in business and it is quite an elaborate piece of jewelery, I'd be willing to make it 375 gold? And judging by S&E Inc., I think we should be able to set up some interesting future deals as well :)

375g.... It's a deal!

Through I have to ask? What do you mwan by interesting future deals?

If the new tax on mining happens then they will go up in price :)

410g.... It's a deal!

Also I was thinking of asking you if S&E inc. could buy out your company for a ? cost. You still run it just S&E get's 10% of the profits (which it might be worth it.... I was thinking of proposing 5000 or 6000gto buy yuo out )

410 G. basic price, this rapidly drops for larger or combined orders - and for the occassion I must insist you accept my 375 G. special offer ;)

Buying out my Shoppe is an interesting idea... The objective of the PG&JS is to fund the purchase of a suitable ambassadorial mansion and some land, and to export the fine Primus Gems and Jewelery to the people of Fanatika. Your offer would certainly advance the first objective, not interfere with the second, and get me a butt load of money to boot.

I am still somewhat of a stranger in this land though, and not quite sure where to turn for all these services - although I do understand you sell real estate? Could you work out an estimate or tell me where to look for some guidance?

jdd: I noticed the purchase. As soon as eyrei delivers, I will get to work on them! I do need to know if you wish to fix all 23 stones, or just the 3 Rare Gemstones into your gear. You can leave the stones at the counter, they will be quite safe in my vault...

*pats trusty iron sword under the counter*

The best place for real estate is Acromoa Homes. I'll get you a link

i trust you will keep them safe... *glances at heavily armed bodyguards* ;)

use the 20 stones, 3 rare gemstones, and my little 'collection'

Here's my suggestion for placing the stones, jdd:

For the shield, I'll fix one Rare Gemstone in the center and create some kind of mosaïc with the Collection around it, then place 18 of the Rare Gems in a circle along the edge of the shield, that should look splendid when the sun shines on it. On your sword, I would place one Rare Gemstone on either side of a golden ornament where the handle connects to the blade - how about a dragon's head, the neck at the handle and the blade coming out between the open jaws? I could place those two Rare Gemstones as eyes, and use the remaining two Rare Gems at the tips of the hand guard.

Let's see... You have purchased the equipment and stones yourself - crafting the gold ornament and setting all the stones would come to about 400 gold. As my first customer, I'll provide you with a teardrop-cut 1.0 Ct. Primus Gem, normally 120 G., for only 100 G. and fix it into your plumed helmet for free.
