This is where you can buy/sell items from other nations(RPG's). This thread is handled by the Price Manager.

Current Trading Partners:
Elucidia 61.74g to one dollar

Current Rules:

1.) An all inclusive thread will be opened at CDG and at CFC to sell goods from CFC to CDG and vice versa.

2.) The currency conversion rate will fluctuate weekly based on the ratio of one countries average weekly income to the others. This will be determined jointly be the two international managers of the respective countries on a weekly basis.

3.) Once an item is bought, the owner of the store in the must ship the item to the country in which the item was bought, paying a fee for shipping as described below:
- By road: 50% of purchase (takes 6 days)
- By rail: 80% of purchase (takes 3 days)
- By ship: 100% of purchase (takes 2 days)
- By air: 120% of purchase (takes 1 day)

4.) An item can only be shipped if the home country of the seller has the appropriate technology (rails or air)

5.) Members may open a business in the other country only if they get permission from the country in which they want to open the business. Both the home country and the foreign country reserve the right to place a fee on the opening.

6.) A member of one country may take a vacation to the other country and will stay at a hotel, rent a beach house, or stay at a beach house they already own.

7.) While at the country, the tourist may buy and take home anything that they desire for free, so long as it isn't to be resold in a business (private transactions don't count). Anything to be sold in a business can be transported at half cost in the same type of transportation used by the tourist.

8.) Each citizen may have only one RPG as their primary home. Any players who are currently in both games must decide which RPG citizenship they will retain.

How this works

Business owners can post what they would like to sell in here. I will then relay this information to the Superstore in the other nations. There people can then buy something from your shop.

So we just re-post our "menus" here, and it'll get copied into the superstore at the other sites?

Yes... That's how it works.

Futuristic Weapons Shop Item List

(subject to update)

Swords & Blades:

Cavalry Sabre: Charge! While the military's cavalrymen largely use firearms, the sabre is still an integral paet of mounted warfare. When two horse soldiers come too close for gunfire, they engage in hand-to-hand combat with sabres. Likewise, when a cavalry charge is launched against infantry, the sabres are used for the close-in fighting. Get yours today! Only 80 gold.

Dagger: Ever wish you could carry a weapon without anyone noticing it? Ever feel like you could use that extra, easy-to-carry protection on a long journey? Then you need a dagger! Made of fine iron and sharpened to a deadly point, this compact little weapon is just the thing for close-in combat. Only 25 gold.

Bayonet: Not much here to discuss. An iron knife, made to be attached to a gun barrel for hand-to-hand combat and taking out charging cavalry. Only 20 gold.

Rapier: A gentleman's blade, this thin blade is not used for power. Rather, it is used for mobility, being light in weight yet still harmful to unarmored opponents. Are you a gentleman? The buy one now! Only 80 gold.

Bowie Knife: The knife that tamed the Fanatikan wilderness! Made of high-quality steel, with a distinctly shaped leading point and blade edge, this knife is said to be able to pierce a silver coin without bending. It is equally effective at skinning game or cutting a man's throat. Only 30 gold.

Polearms:

Mounted Lance: While firearms are gaining popularity on the field of battle, and jousting is dying out in favor of organized sports, the lance remains an effective weapon in the hands of a well-trained warrior. Many knights remain loayl to this trusty weapon, and in a cavalry charge it is unmatched in strength, accuracy, and ease of use. While moving at full speed, you can hit a house with a rifle, but with a lance you can easilly take down even the smallest and most agile foe. No horseman should be without this trusty secondary weapon. Only 60 gold.

Personal Firearms:

Morganfield Musket: Cavalry charging you down? Short-range weapons getting you down? Then you're in need of a Musket! This powerful new weapon, utilizing BoomPowder© as a ballistic propellant, has the range of a Longbow with defensive abilities surpassing that of a Pike. Now you can pick of those pesky Knights before they get in striking range! Get more BANG! for your buck. Only 80 gold.

Valhall Rifle: The standard-issue workhorse of all Fanatikan Cavalry, the Valhall Rifle is the most accurate weapon available. Firing a 57-caliber miniball, this weapon has an effective range of about 800 yards, and immense lethality. In the hands of a well-trained marksman, this rifle is also accurate to within 1.5 inches of the intended target. Don't be caught with underpowered and inaccurate weapons; get a Valhall today! Only 125 gold.

Model 1010 Repeater: Fire, reload, fire, reload, fire, reload. In the heat of battle, who wants to have to keep loading their gun? The Model 1010 solves that problem once and for all! Based on the standard Valhall rifle, the model 1010 is a repeating carbine capable of firing 15 shots without reloading. Shorter than the Valhall, it is less accurate, but what it lacks in accuracy it makes up for in being able to put the hurt on the bad guy. Firing 50-caliber side-loading conical bullets, the 1010 can stop a man in his tracks. Why fire once when you can throw up a wall of lead? Only 175 gold.

Peacekeeper .50 Revolver: Draw! When fighting is hand-to-hand, it helps to have a friend. When single-fire weapons desert you, pulling a pistol capable of firing 6 high-heat shots can be the difference between life and death. The Peacekeeper is this pistol! Utilizing a revolving chamber, this six-shooter can pump off 50-caliber bullets that will throw a man off his feet at close range. If you find yourself outnumbered, fighting two-handed will hold off anything and everything. Available in 45-caliber, too. Only 80 gold.

Artillery:

Rifled Cannon: Ever wonder what would happen if an 16-lb. ball of iron was launched at you at great speed from the opposite side of a battlefield. It would hurt. Now YOU can put that hurt down on the enemy with our new Cannon! This huge wheeled iron firearm can launch an 16-lb. conical shell, filled with BoomPowder©, over great distances. Good for taking out walls, ships, or enemy formations. Now with a rifled barrel, your fire is even more accurate and can travel farther! Buy one today and have the biggest gun on the block! Only 200 gold.

Gatling Gun: Ever been overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of an enemy? Ever had your position charged and your forces destroyed? Ever need to mow down a line of riflemen quickly? Then you need the fast-firing, lead-spewing Gatling Gun! Capable of rapidly firing great numbers of large-calibre bullets, this "machine" cannon can decimate enemy formations. Don't be caught with artillery that can only fire once before the enemy is upon you; get your Gatling Gun today! Only 250g.

Hale Rockets: Ever struggle to beat back a crowd of attackers? Ever wish that that annoying warship would just burst into flames? Ever need to knock down a city wall? Then Hale Rockets are the thing for you! These 38-inch-long rockets can rain death and destruction upon a target up to 1 mile away! Packing a 32 lb. explosive or incendiary charge, they can punch through almost anything. Now you too can experience "the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air!" Only 150 gold. Rockets 15 gold each.

Miscellanious:

Land Torpedos: It was an American captain who once said "Damn the torpedos!" before sailing his warship head-on into an enemy harbor filled with floating explosives. Similar explosives can be used on land. A metal canister, filled with explosive and metal scraps, such as musketballs and balls, and rigged with an impact-trigerred percussion hammer, makes for an effective defensive measure, ambush weapon, or booby trap. Now you too can cripple the enemy's soldiers before they even enter the battle! Only 20g apiece. (For those of you unfamiliar with early explosives, these are what we would call "mines" today.)

Penicilin: More often than not, it is infection, not the actual bullet wound, that kills a soldier. Now you can protect yourself with the world's first "miracle drug"- penicilin. This antibiotic will kill germs, which cause the wound to become infected, and might well safe your life. Protect yourself now! Only 25g for each single-use prescription.

please note that only items which are technically available on the "other side" can be sold there! (i dont think they can have guns yet?)

Really? Why is that? We're the one producing them, so if WE can MAKE them, why can't we ship it over there? During the American Colonial times native Americans couldn't build guns, but we still sold them to them.

this would conflict with the realism there. and as we are not in the same game we should respect that.

imagine the highest tech they have would be warriors and we sell them guns... how realistic.

Grr..... that's make Grandmaster angry. I mean, OK, say there's a native tribe sitting on some unmapped island in the Pacific. There highest technology weapons are stone axes (a la the Civ3 Warrior.) A bunch of explorers from a country like the US or Japan comes by, and sees them natives on the island. They come back with guns, and sell them to the natives. Just because the natives can't make guns themselves doesn't mean that the outsiders can't sell the foreign-made guns to them. And yes, Dis, that IS realistic.

Quite so. The last word on the subject is anybody may attempt to export whatever they wish. If customs (the other group's international store manager) thinks it will upset the natives they can disallow sales on their own side.

CivGeneral walks into the International Superstore

I am interested in helping out with the International RPG. Since I am the Items manager, I think it would be possible for me to be a International RPG Items Manager :). The job would involve Keeping track of items being Imported and Exported and also regulating what can and cannot be exported from Fanatika.

And I am interested in filling the role of International RPG Items Manager :).
