Tiny/Conquest shouldn't be allowed

For my 3rd attempt at a HOF game, i decided to go for a Conquest/Tiny/Chieftan victory.
After under 8 minutes of playing, I got this, with a score of over 4.5k.
This IMO is ridiculous. Many players have slaved away milking games as much as they can, and gotten lower scores than that. I just don't think that tiny/conquest victories should be allowed.
Opinions? Can this be implemented please?

I was under the impression that Aeson was eventually planning on sorting out Tiny maps to a different category. I think they're currently allowed as an interim thing, but we'll have to hear from him to know for sure.

You are right, though, having them on the same list permanently would be a bad idea.

your game would end up in the fastest finish list, which Aeson is supposed to introduce sometime soon. then you would just be comparing your game against other fast finish games.

... and a final score of 24,468 points.

A fine example. Well done btw! :) It took me about 56 minutes on emporer...

edit: Fair enough...

As I have already posted, the HOF will be adding more categories based on map size, along with fastest finish categories. I don't see any problem with having Tiny/Conquest games in the overall rankings as they top out at about 60% of the max milking score on a Huge map even when played perfectly.

Hi there!
This is my first post on CFC forums.

I just want to comment on the tiny/conquest early finishes.
It's my impression that this kind of game never will reach anywhere near the super-scores that some of you pull of, on a milked game. Those who oppose the submission of such games, could therefor go for a milked game, submitt it and push the score of the top 10 list. I know that you only are allowed 2 entries, but I would be surpised if there are not more that 5 people who wants to see such games of the list. ;)

I have just submittet 5 tiny/conquest games, from chieftain to emperor. All of them placed on the lower half of the list. And with the strong competition going on I would not be surpised if 3, 4 or all of them don't make it to the HOF in the next update.
Having said that, I will not make a new effort to get into the list jusing this kind of game.

I am going to start on cheiftain and try to milk a huge map. I have learned lots just by reading the post on this forum. Don't think I will start a new thread to support this attempt, but if it goes well, maybe next time.

Sorry for any bad spelling :)

I think that tiny maps should have at least 3 AI opponents, just 2 is a bit ridiculous.

Anyway, the Aztecs are likely to head the deity fast conquest title. I had to move my settler in 4000BC to get to a better spot.

:goodjob: Good idea! That'll make it more challenging (at the higher levels at least)...

P.S. : For me anyway... :D

OK, last night I did a fast finish game on a tiny map with the Aztecs. With 3 AI rivals. I won in 2630 AD, with a score of around 4700 points. I killed 2 regular warriors and 1 regular spearman... 3 whole units in a game...

That's the type of gameplay tiny/conquest on a low difficulty level is going to offer Darkness. If you don't like it, don't play those types of games. I'd personally never even want to play such a game, but it's going to be a category on the HOF for those who do.

I know. I just wanted to see what it was like. I probably won't even send it in for the HoF anyway...
Now higher difficulty levels, or other victory conditions on low levels could be fun...

BTW, when will these categories come available on the HoF page?
