C3C PBEM : Grognards - Napoleonic scenario-based PBEM

"Grognards" is the pet name Napoleon used to give to his Guard Grenadiers.

Hi, this is the thread for the new PBEM game I plan on starting.

It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the Napoleonic scenario and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

Civs have been attributed randomly save for Loulong, RJ and Normaland that would draw again if the picked the civ they have in Fionn's Napoleonic game.

Players : 8 (Sweden as AI is possible but probably not great in front of the Russian giant).

Doh! Why only 1.20? I thought it had bugs anyway.

I'd like to sign up. Civ preferences Russia, France or England. But if everyone gets random, it is fine with me. Would prefer to have accelerated production off.

OK, thanks and sorry for last one but I had to make a choice.
On the other hand, I advise you to either delete your address now (I got it) or to change it so that robots cannot spot it so easily (hence the "weird" spelling of e-mails around).

Mostly at Akots' request but I agree it is worth discussing, I want to ask you what settings you prefer for :

- Accelerated Production (on by default for scenarios which might make it too easy).

- Level (it is quite important in the case of AI but even without AI it concerns happiness and other management issues). By default it is regent. Personally I don't mind setting it at Emperor level but beyond I believe it is rather a waste of energy while our main enemy is actually the other human players. But that is merely my opinion and you are free to say what your preferences are.

Another question : I have successfully upgraded to 1.22 as an alternative so this PBEM can be played with 1.20 or 1.22 provided everybody agree on it (1.22 might attract more players ?)

1.22 vote for me. I have 1.15, 1.20, and 1.22 directories on my PC (s).
The black screen during the production phase bug in 1.20 drives me up the freakin' wall! :saiyan: Especially if a turn in a PBEM comes around to me once a week and even forget which Civ I am.

OK, if nobody complains, we will use 1.22.

Acumed: you applied a few minutes too late but Steph might not join. He confirms ASAP. If he joins, you can still apply for Rise of Rome, otherwise you get the position.

@all : countries have been attributed, randomly. Hope you are happy with what you got. It was random for me too.

I regret to inform you that I am going to Russia for the weekend, so I will be away starting Friday afternoon and until Sunday evening. My apologies for slowing the game down for couple of days.

EliitMees has informed me he has started the new correct, English-based game and already sent it to Russia (Steph). Not that I doubt your knowledge of French whatsoever (I was actually very pleased by some answers ) but it will probably be more reasonable to use an English-based version.
