C3C PBEM Epic: "Continents" (level: newbees, looking for some experienced players)

+++ GAME IS FULL & STARTED +++

Jahhy, Mitiu Ioan and myself want to start a new PBEM.
It's going to be a epic game, played on a continents-based map, and a C3C v1.22 game. Difficulty is set on emperor.

Because we're all newbees, we're looking for at least 1 experienced player to set up the game, and maybe give some advice.

Players:
1. Redman - Egypt
2. Jahhy - Persians
3. Bathsheba666 - Russians
4. Qummik - Romans
5. Kwibus (has replaced azzaman333) - Mayan
6. Calis (has replaced Classical_hero) - Iroqious

The max is 5 players, so who's interested?

So at this point we've to discuss some details:
- size map
- others settings of the map and the game: water/land, victorysettings, barbarians..
- Jahhy and Mitiu Ioan need to choose a 'tribe'
- the things i'm forgetting..

What should be the difficultylevel? Regent or Monarch?
I vote for Regent because 4 of 5 are new in the business.

About the mapsize I would say: at least mediumsize.
Water/land: 40% / 60%
All victorysettings on? I don't like the victorypoints, so that should be off.
Barbarians: raging?

Regent sounds good to me.

Other than that, I'd leave the other settings up to Classical Hero. As the experienced one, he'd probably know what settings are best.

I would go for Emporer as the game level. At worst we can play Monarch. All we need to know is what percentage of land we want. I would prefer to have 60% land so that we can get as much land as possible. Since we only have five players I think it is best that we have have a small size map. I can get a map made over at another site, see my sig for that site, if you want. That way we can get a balanced map if you want. Also we should post our tmezones so we can get the game flowing properly. You can find this infomation in my location. I think that is all we need right now.

whatever clasical hero says since i am new with this i will listen to the older
i'm cool with persians then i guess.
altough emperor seems a bit rough.. if it's possible i'd go with monarch level.
my timezone is central european gmt+1

I think I'm capable to play Monarch, haven't played Emperor, but we can try
Small map looks indeed more suitable for 5 players. If you have a nice one, we'll play that one.
