Every now and then I see this bug resurface.
That's happening regardless... Joe Biden or no Biden.
whatever lawyer
Oh come on ... that wasn't funny? I get the "lawyer" stuff for that? You don't get it? Cause the masks and the people wearing them and not wearing them... jeez, tough crowd.
pure "monkey muffins", as Col. Potter once said.
:lol:I just wanted to back and take note of this... this is milk-squirts-from-nose funny. I literally can't resist laughing every time I read it. There I go again

Thanks Egon :D
See the post above. If you're using Modern CFC then you won't notice it, because all the text above will be displayed in black over a white background.
But in fact everything is not the same. Everything after the post with ‘Biden’ is coded to be black regardless of the background colour as defined by the Xenforo ‘style’ chooser. So in fact I wouldn't even have noticed anything, had it not been for the yellow-face smileys telling me that something must be in there between them.
This happens to me with posts made by specific posters, among which Sommerswerd is included, and I've been seeing it since at least 2019.

The code for the above, if I go to full BBCodeEditor mode, actually includes a tag with <COLOR=rgb(0, 0, 0)> in it (with square brackets, of course).

If a screenshot is needed I can provide one.

What is going on?

You've mentioned this before, but I don't see it. On my end everything is completely clear.

If you go to the post I quote and click on Edit then go to code editor mode instead of WYSIWYG, do you see the tags?

If you open it on private browsing + Dark CFC style, do you see it?

I've been trying to figure this one out for ages.

We've been through this before. There are no tags on my end. I have no idea why you see them, because I don't see them and no one else appears to see them either.

EDIT: Correction. I see them now. I have no idea where they came from, what they do or how to do anything about them. Do you know?

No, I don't know. They just show up randomly in some posts, the mods and admins seem not to care one whit even though it's not the first time I report it, so I guess I'm just stuck having to highlight everything with a mouse.

Not sure if it's related but the text in this box (the one I'm writing in right now) is invisible unless I highlight it. BB Code Editor works fine. This seems to happen with all styles, although at least on Modern CFC it works properly sometimes.

I am not the tech guy on staff. Changed to Dark CFC and see what you are talking about. I checked and it seems to me the color was changed from white to a dark gray. I highlighted it and clicked on color and changed it to white and it showed just fine. Whether there is some kind of error in the style sheets or you used a different color somewhere else and it carried over, I'm not sure.

What I don't understand is why there are tags added and why it is at random. From earlier experience, trial and error, we have not been able to identify whether it comes from using it on mobiles or laptops, or different browsers and/or OSs.
