Advanced era techs

Where can I change the tech availability when I play non-ancient era starts? I had to abandon a nice starting point when I saw that I've got what felt like half of the tech tree with just a classical era start. The vanilla setting was perfect and I'd like it back.

You have to edit the eras of techs. Right now eras don't do much (result of religious eras). Expect that to change in 1.4.

I thought of that, but I saw Alteration has a classical era, yet it was not given with a classical game start.

Edit: Oh, I get it - if I start with classical era I get all ancient era techs, not classical ones.
