Are Game Manuals now dead?

I want an Android phone compatible Civilopedia, it doesn't use paper and gives me civ knowledge on the go.

I guess iPhone users and Blackberry users could get one too, but I honestly don't care about them...

Manuals died as soon as publishers realised they could sell "strategy guides" that cost half of what a game does. Then for a while PDF's made manuals useful again, but not anymore. :(
 
A lot of people have been suggesting that. The problem is most people still don't have a tablet computer or an e-reader.
