Amon Savag
The Great
This NES is the best thing since sliced bread. All of civilisation collapsed in the world, for some odd reason durring the middle ages. Many new lords sprung up,and started taking control of their domains. Some banded up into countries, some thought they should be kings themselves, and thus fended for themselves. You are one of these lords, and you are to either band up,or fend for yourself.
This NES is based on the idea of a ruler can't do everything...He has to have his officers too.And this fact hasn't been put to use in any NESes thus far.
You must read over the rules before you join, because if you do not..You may get cornfused later)
RULES!
Each officer has stats. They all range onto a scale from 1-20.20 being the best.
War-How well you are at fighting. If you have a low war,you may die if you go and lead a fight personally. But if you have a high war,you can man the battle yourself.Soldiers admire bravery, and skill,as well as leadership.
Leadership-How well you can lead your troops, and how well you rally them. You can train your troops better if you have a better leadership skill too.All in all...If you have a good leadership skill, your troops are better off than under the command of another with low leadership.
Intelligence-How smart you are, this can mean alot of things, such as how well you can set traps for your enemy, how well you can devise plans, and the ability to use something small to it's best.
Politics-How knowledgeable you are in the affairs of state.Someone well versed in politics is better off in internal affairs, such as raising the economy, than a warrior.
Charm-How well you are liked. This can help in everything. How many troops you can draft,if need be,how well people work with you in internal affairs, soldiers may not listen to an un-charmful person. Can come in handy if you're trying to get NPC officers, too.
Each officer will have these 5 stats.Remember your officer's stats aren't everything.Player's ability also counts alot.A plan devised by yourself is often better than a plan that would normally be thought up by an officer of your stature.Your stats just make you look good or bad when pulling your plans off.
Each officer can do 1 thing per turn.Whether it's train troops,or set up deffenses,or draft,or raise economy,or whatever.
Economy
Represented by a number. This number represents how much gold is made per turn.it costs 2 gold to raise your economy by 1.I roll a 20 sided die,and if the the number rolled is lower than the officer that's raising the economy's politics,it is raised. If higher, the economy does not get raised and the gold has gone to waste.Although,if the officer raising the economy gives a good plan to raise the economy,it may raise anyways,or raise twice!
Army
You can either hire or draft men for the army.Difference being, hiring costs more, drafting pisses people off.If you hire men,you hire them at a rate of 100 men per gold.If you draft men,you draft at a rate of 400 per gold.Hired men will start out better trained.Drafted men will start out disorderly, and untrained. You can spend 1 gold per charm in the raising of an armed forces.
When troops are raised, they must be put under the command of an officer.
Training
This will be a number, from 1-infinity.Higher's better,of course. When you hire troops or draft troops, the number will get lower.More so for draft.Hired troops base training is 40,and drafted troops base training is 10.it will go down on an average.
Say you have 1000 troops with 50 training. You then draft 200 troops(10 training).Would bring the training of the whole unit from 50 to 43,because that would be the average training level of them all.
You can train your troops better with more leadership, and war.(The formula is leadership+war divided by 2 times 400 divided by the number of troops he has)Thus someone with 500 troops and the leadership of 19,and war of 16,would raise their training by 14 in 1 turn. Thus if they had a training of 40,it would be 54 now.
Don't worry about that though...Just remember you can train your men lol...And you can train another person's men
Equipment
You can make 100 of each equipment listed at their prices, but you can make 10 more for every politic stat you have. Thus if you raise arms,it raises at 100 per gold, but with 13 politics it raises 230 per gold with that officer. You can give equipment to whomever you want once you have aquired them.
Prices for equipment are as follows.
1 for spears
1 for short bows
2 for swords
3 for a polearm(Only makeable by Britain)
4 for horses
More will be here as time goes on.
Navy
Right now there are galleys. But you can make more different types of ships as time goes on.5 galleys are made per gold.If the officer makeing galleys has over 5 politics, then for every 5 politics he has, another galley is produced (An officer with 13 politics can make 7 galleys per gold)
Popular happiness
Represented by a number. Many factors make this go up and down.
NPC officers
The world starts with none...But you can search for them. When you do,please tell me their name, and I will generate some stats on the next update.Any officer can search for another officer. The stats of the officer being searched for will be better depending upon the searcher's charm. You can search for a specific kind of officer.
NPC officers have a loyalty level,in which they can be persuaded by other charming officers,or money,or some other gift,to join a different side,or betray their master in some way.Be creative.
Also, officers may appear at random by my say so.Maybe a fine Minister may be looking for work,or a grand warrior shows his colors on the field.
Special Items
These can be found threwout the land,or made.Various effects, depending upon what is made/found.
Joining up in this piece.
You will need to fill out the template, and tell me what kind of officer you wish to be.Your generated stats will be random. The template will consist of your startout castle,or camp.Your name. And what kind of officer you are looking to be.The types of officers are here:
