Australian map

I've seen a few people asking if anyone has made a map of Australia.

I remember making one for myself when playing Civ II years ago.
(I don't think I ever got around to sharing it with anyone.)

Probably the only problem if anyone did decide to do an accurate map of Australia is that it might be a bit hard to play due to all the desert.

Once I play a few more games of Civ III I think I will have a go at making one just for fun.

It was my first attempt at working with the map editor and I suppose I shouldn't have drank so much Vodka before attempting to do it.

It looks excellent and pretty much matches up with what I wanted to do.

What I changed with your map:
- Removed a player starting location
(it wasn't any fun being stuck on the island at the bottom while the other players took over the map.)

I also found when playing my original map that I managed to make heaps of money on it, but I also managed to get wiped out by barbarians on the second turn (I lost a worker and a scout.)

Very nice!

I like the detail and the fact that it's not too huge or too small. Adding the Great Barrier Reef would have made nice eye candy though
