I can't believe you don't know the 'ol error 5...and you call yourself a serious programmer

On a serious note, the interweb seems to indicate this type of error is typically associated with permission issues...i.e db might be locked by another app.

I assume you already found the reason for this error of course and this post is mostly for humor

I'm familiar with the code, it's just funny to see error messages in self-denial.

Basically the message was that SQLite rejects your reality and substitutes its own.
