Look not only at the map, but also at the date...

Would be better if your cities were on rivers.

assuming you find a goody hut ,it would be 4 tiles away

I've seen plenty of goody huts just outside the initial 9-tile boundary. With a scout you can reach that by 4000 BC.

Correct. 3 Elephants and a Tobacco near starting city was nice already, but getting a town with the Scout in turn 3 made it my luckiest start ever.

I don't like it: plains, mountains, prolly tundra up north and a flippin' volcano too. Did you pop a settler or was it a city-on-the-spot-hut?

why does the map look different to the normal colour and detail scheme?

how you did that?
assuming you find a goody hut ,it would be 4 tiles away. you need 4 turns to reach that location. Unless you are playing a game with modified movements or starting date.
...or unless you had a scout. Look closely at the pic. ;)

City on the spot hut? I've never seen one of those...

For expansionists only: if you pop a hut you may get a city on the same spot as the hut (very annoying - a settler is better).

Or if you had a food bonus.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, it's a decent start but a really good start for me would have food bonus's near you for the OLD settler factory trick ;)

Come on guys, 2 citizens and +4 food per turn in 3900 BC is a pretty good start, don´t you think?

Your right Twonky, we are being a little too critical here. With two cities and the year it is he's in pretty good shape :)

I think its the Rhye's Mod (you can download it in this site)...but Iam not sure.
Is it Rhye's Mod Coffeedragon?

Looks like one of snoopy's too me, I haven't tried Rhyes yet but then again Snoopy might have been Rhye's graphic coordinator.

Nah, it could be 2 citizens and +10 food per turn in 3900BC...
