When you hold the ALT key while hovering over a unit icon you can see the movement range for the unit. What does the difference in colored boxes mean? I see some brown and some white. At first I thought the brown meant enemy territory, but I see white mixed in with the brown.

You can see the colors defined in the Plot List Enhancements.ini file in your UserSettings folder. Off the top of my head, there are different colors for:
- Friendly territory
- Neutral territory
- Enemy territory
- Barbarian territory
- Tiles containing enemy units
- Tiles containing barbarian units
