Bug reports and technical issues

But only Catholic cities are affected.

Okay, fix is committed.

2 things:

can you remove some hints, like "Only great people can found corporations..."

also, when I played a game as Korea, visibility was granted for me of a small patch of land in Africa... it was strange, i could see the Korean peninsula and a small patch of Africa.

Finally, finally I get my Japanese win...but no third tick for me  I tossed up the autoplay save, should be a four turn vic for me (assuming Future Tech 1 is included in completing the tech tree). Pretty sure it's DoC 1.81 (non-SVN).

The other day I also couldn't get my English UHV, but not exactly the same way. First I secured all but my Asian colonies, then timed my Trading Company to land on 1712 (normal speed) so I'd get my four just in time, and while I managed to do so (haha Gandhi, can't beg congress if you're dead! ) the dreaded "Goal Failed" stood there mocking me right in the face. Heck the second attempt I pulled down 5 Indian/Mughal cities and still no luck for me. The only thing I could think is that maybe they were still being occupied/rebelling but still, sadness. Though on that one I has no pics/saves so you'll just have to take me word on it :p

Both have been fixed in the SVN, but thanks.

I've tried searching the threads to see if anyone else has reported this problem but I can't seem to find anything, which really surprises me as I've noticed this problem since I started using SVN months ago:
The Arabian Holy city will randomly disappear mid game. Makkah isn't invaded or anything, one turn it will be the Islamic Holy City, the next turn it won't be. Puzzled ???

... has anyone else experienced this?

i havent been able to start a game with aztecs for ages in the 600 AD scenerio.
basically one turn before the real start, I get control of one trebuchet in antarctica which if I disband, i lose. any hints on how I can win with the aztecs?
i guess i could just add in units in the WB, but ive no idea how many units aztecs are supposed to start with, so if some1 can tell me...

Click on skip turn, and then press enter, the next turn your normal start units spawn.

I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not, but noone seems to build the Notre Dame in my current France game. It's 1950 AD. Is it possible this has to do with the new UHV?

They should be prevented from building Notre Dame for your first turns, but then it should be allowed. I'll take a look.

Two things about SVN

1) By HRE, the UHV counter doesn't marks anything when I get a vassal (in my game, I firstly vassalized Italy). I also reloaded the game, but nothing changed

2) By France, in the historical conditions, there's 75000 culture points for Paris instead of 25000

My last SVN update was on Saturday

Forgot to add Italy to the viable candidates.

Are you playing on Marathon perhaps?

2 things:

Whenever I exit a game and load it back, if I was running city states, the effect no longer works (specialists don't give + food).

I played as Khmer, and after I won a historical victory in 1450, I click "Wait...just...one more turn..." then, when i looked back at the historical victory conditions, it had the old ones (have at least 18000 culture in 1450, spread buddhism and hinduism to 35%, etc.etc.

Which SVN revision are you on?

Where exactly?

Yes, I am.
Then it's just the normal scaling for Marathon - the game is three times longer, so you need three times the culture.

Italy's third historical goal still seems to be buggy, controlling inland tiles in North Africa would contribute to the total percentage, which suggests one need to control more than just the Mediterranean Sea (to even get 75% of it ). I think the goal needs to be specified, what exactly is expected from the player? Especially when the goal checks in 1930 AD, that is, after a long game.
