Cannot start CIV4 warlords :(

Hello

Ok, I have always been able to run Civ 4 warlords in the past on the computer (high specs) but I stopped playing it for a couple of months. Now I got back to it I click 'launch' and it comes up with the loading screen for about 5 seconds, then it disappears and nothing else happens.

I don't know why this is happening but I really want to fix it so I can get back to playing.

Also, does parental controls affect this at all? My dad is kinda strict and puts parental controls on.
Civ 4 works on his account though.

I tried it on my laptop and the same thing happened.

I would like some help please. Don't just ignore this :/
