Can't Download GaK... help?

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum here, but since it's Gods and Kings related, it seems as good a place as any. So:

I just paid for Gods and Kings on Steam, so in theory it should be downloading. However, it says "update paused, no connection to content servers". How do I fix this? For the record, I also can't play regular Civ V anymore, if I click the "Play" button, it gives me the same message.

Try restarting the Steam client.

I think you can change somewhere in Steam which servers are contacted. Changing that to another region might maybe help.
