Changing Civ Icon's Colours

I want to change vanilla Poland's colours to the colours in JDF's Pilsudski mod. Can someone walk me through the steps? I am using trying to use GIMP.

GIMP? Can't you just edit the color values in "Assets\DLC\Expansion2\Gameplay\XML\Civilizations\CIV5Civilizations_Expansion2.xml" under the "<Color>" tag?

Yes, but that doesn't change the colours of the icons
