What is with the minimap in that picture? It looks like it's highlighting the terrian or something?

it's the terrain 'small map' (see TERRAFORM thread for descriptions) of the civ.exe version '474.01' "shift-56" cheat.

I would have a go at this if you would post the save file up, since the one at the start of the post invokes an error on download.

ALL of the "SAV" files disappeared from civfanatics server. :sad:

i did upload the missing sve/sav contest file (again) at start posting.

you'll need BOTH files for the game

Launched ship 2120 BC. But after building a habitation module, time to alpha centauri was 16.4 years with 99% success rate. I launched anyhow, but the game didn't understand it getting there. (The new habitation module was put in an unlinked position rather than above which would have been linked.. Silly functionality for inserting space ship parts)..

Hmm.. Did last few hundred years late without saving, so have no savegame to redo it after 2400 BC. Might replay from a save later to see if I can do earlier, and get the spaceship built properly..

First: i was long time away from CF-Forums.

...sounds all interesting, i am sorry you didn't try (again). :sad:

Maybe you did miss *that point,
but this is part of the "conquest instructions" anyway:

...build
an additional HABiTATiON MODULE
to LAUNCH the space ship -

this is in need to cause the game a flight time of
a minimum of 20 years (...a little more... 20,2 years or so)

because the turns of the game before 1 AD are 20 years.
EVERY FLiGHT-TiME LOWER THAN "20 YEARS" WiLL CAUSE PROBLEMS
SCORiNG YOUR GAME (in THiS competition)...

so -
build that MODULE first
and
LAUNCH the S.S.
AND
* save your game after that (= BEFORE "next turn")
and it's all good...
