just got civ 4 and its running realy slow . i played civ 3 and that was ok it ran alright for about an hour but now it takes 10 mins to load to next go can anyone help me out with this . thanks

what map size game are you trying to play?

Have you tried turning down the graphic detail settings?

Try disabling "Show friendly moves" if its on. It should speed up your game a lot, especially since the AI will move every unit it owns every turn, whether it needs to or not.

There is a graphics tab in the options. Turn down detail, put 1 men units instead of 3 men.

If you have less than 512mb of RAM Civ 4 will be horrible to run. Less than 1gb will be a little slow as well, especially in the late game
