It's been said that the design philosophy of Civ games over the past ten years - and especially including the Civilization Revolution titles - has been to make every faction feel overpowered. What would Civ V look like if some unique capability of every faction was dialled up to be OP? Here's my thoughts...

America - Minutemen have no tech requirements

Arabia - start with Desert Folklore

Assyria - Royal Libraries have unlimited space for Great Works and the XP bonuses stack

Babylon - have the free Great Scientist from the start

English - win the game if you control a tile on every single vertical row that has land tiles

Korea - gain free science from buildings in any city

Maya - The Long Count begins with Calendar

Mongolia - Mongol Terror applies to all targets

Netherlands - start with East India Company built in capital

Poland - Solidarity begins in the Ancient Era

Rome - Legion does not require Iron

Spain - Starting Bias is next to a Natural Wonder

Sweden - CS Friends and Allies (x2) count towards Nobel Prize

Venice - MoV ignores closed borders and can buy any city. (Actually not that far from Civ Rev's Great Artists - just better aimed)

Zulu - All melee units have Buffalo Horns automatically. (Ikanda's bonus changed to giving the city the same defence bonus as Walls)

America would still suck (you wouldn't have the production to train minutemen). America just sucks in this game.
