For new posters, and even a few of the old experienced ones, I feel its worth posting a bit of a posting guideline.

Firstly, please take a read through our Forum Rules. Make sure you understand them, and that you follow them.

We are very excited about the development of Civilization 6, and its great to see so many people who are also excited about it. This forum is a great place to come and discuss the new announced features and to speculate on what else will be announced.

However, we ask that when you do this, you remain civil at all times.

  1. If you are disappointed by something, you are welcome to state that, but do it in a civil and constructive manner.
  2. If you disagree with someone, you are welcome to state what you disagree with and why, but do it in a civil and constructive manner.
  3. If you love some new feature, you are welcome to discuss every aspect of it, but please do so in a civil and constructive manner.
  4. See where we're going with this? In a civil and constructive manner.

This forum is a place for discussion, and we have very little tolerance for people abusing other people ("flaming") or deliberately and excessively trying to annoy other people ("Trolling").

If you see someone making a rude comment, please do not respond in kind. That just serves to inflame the problems. Instead, please use the "report post" link located at the bottom left of the post. The moderators will then deal with the issue. Please also note that reporting the post does not somehow allow you to flame someone in return.

Regards,

Edit: we will post any forum specific policy announcements here as needed

Due to a number of complaints, we have moved the Ideas and Suggestions thread out of General Discussions and given it equal status with General Discussions. You can find it here.

We recognize that elimination game threads are popular with certain CFC members, but also recognize that too many simultaneous elimination game threads can crowd out other discussion. Going forward, we will allow one open elimination game thread in the General Discussions forum (focused on game features and elements in the existing version of the game) and one open elimination game thread in the Ideas & Suggestions forum (focused on desired game features and elements for future expansions and DLC). Furthermore, no one may open an elimination game thread without moderator approval (please use the Conversation feature to request approval) and the OP of the most recently completed elimination game thread will not be eligible to start the next thread (to spread around the opportunity to start new games).

Please note that we have opened a new Civ 6 sub-forum -- Civ 6 - Consoles -- which is intended to host threads focused on the XBOX and PS4 versions of the game. Some existing threads have been moved to the new forum, including Bug Report threads reporting console-specific bugs and graphical glitches (to give them more prominence than they are likely to receive in the general Bug Reports forum).
