Hi everyone,

Did you know that CivFanatics is on social media? While we've been on some sites for years we've recently expanded out into more places and are actively working on having a bigger presence on them sharing lots of the great Civilization related official and community created content our site has to offer to the world!

We all like to stick to our favourite areas of the forums so it's easy to miss out on all the great news and events taking place on the main homepage and in other areas of the forums. All news items posted on this site are now being shared out to these groups, so if you want to stay up to date and not miss out on any of the action then we welcome and encourage you to join and follow/subscribe our official communities (managed by CFC staff) on these sites...

We also encourage you to interact with any news items of interest to you with likes, comments and shares as that boosts their exposure to other Civ fans on these platforms increasing visitors and new sign ups to this forum community.

Obviously not everyone is a fan of social media so we certainly understand if some members are not interested in joining any of these groups.

As well as these external changes we're also looking in the not too distant future to change the way Civilization news is delivered internally here to our members to make it easier to access, subscribe, & interact with, so stay tuned...

Many many people feel the same so that's fine.

Although because of that I should probably add a note in the post mentioning that it's a FB 'news page' and not a FB 'chat group' which behave a bit differently. As far as I can tell people can like or follow the page and no one other than admins will see their names (& if their RL name is nothing like their username that we'd have no idea who is who) unless they like or comment on the news we share which the public can see. Whereas with FB chat groups the whole memberlist is usually public. I'll double check that though!

However yes those who prefer to keep full anonymity or are not fans of social media can of course ignore these groups if they wish!

Big and boring yes accident no. The_J used it in his CFC frontpage article (& it was that big there too) so I copied and pasted into the reddit post.

Although I see he's changed it to a right aligned smaller one now so I'll go use that too. Fixed! Well on reddit anyway as FB isn't letting me edit attachments on the news page posts which is annoying.

That change was actually made by TF, since he saw the same issue as @Aiken_Drumn .
I simply have not had a look at the options there .

haha oh dear.. I did think it was weird too and probably should have asked you about it but I thought.. "hey whatever floats his boat.. if the_J wants an utterly ginormous GR logo in his article then that's how it's going to be everywhere else I post it too!"
