COMMUNITY CALL TO POWER v4.05 Play-testing Release

could you post your logs please. I haven't experienced that problem, and there may be some conflict, or something missing.



I am using only:

Community Call To Power v4.05 DLL Version (v 3)
DLL - Various Mod Components (v 63)

I think the problem is missing dlc. Maybe Gilga will look too to confirm.

There are 3 missing DLC (Babylon, Inca/Spain and Polynesia).

This should create some bugs, but i dont see a reason why this should cause the Polcies not to open.
But you have several lu errors, this can be the reason....
 
but it is really difficult so see what's available, what I have selected, if it has to be the way it is, can you at least group them by eras then

Replace the CCTP_Policies.xml in
Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Community Call To Power v4.05 DLL Version\CCTP\Policies

with this one and policies should appear in order by era.

If you are having a great person born every turn in golden age, try replacing the DLL _Tables folder in the cctp mod folder with this one.

I believe it should work with saved games, but clear cache and moduserdata so game will reload data.

ps Occasionally when I upload, for some reason it shows it as php file, if this happens just right click and save as dlltables.rar

extracted your RAR file over the existing folder cleared cache and moduserdata and started a new game. Still getting a great scientist every turn in golden age. It started in the last turn of my second golden age.

I think i may figured out why the golden ages produce Great People like spam.

Some of you have reported that in the last testing version great prophets also spammed to much.

Well i think both problems are related.
With the new version we created new Specialist and also increased the chance of spam bugs with Great People.

To make it short i think the problem is related with a vanilla file, that determines the math for spawning Great People.
We didnt altered this file, and this can be the reason why we have this bug.

So we need to write a replace file of the vanilla one, and include our changes and we will know if this is really the reason.

Sorry a response took so long. I am quite busy now. Where do I find the logs, do I need to reinstall the mod (trying out dozens of overhaul mods now, so I am constantly switching) to regenerate it, or do you think it will be there anyway?

This mod alone made the purchase of Civ V so worthwile.

Playing with me ( as japan ) + 1 computer Civ ( Elizabeth ) + 2 City states on a duel sized pangea map on settler difficulty. (difficulty and such where to speed up the testing process).

Btw the whole latest build looks way more polished and refined. Also balancing is way better then in the previous Version imho at least for the prehistoric age (was not able to test further yet).

Iam glad you enjoy the latest build.

Thanks for your report, we (more Gyogen;) figured out what is causing the Spam.
We will release a quick fix, that sould fix this problem, but i need to rewrite a lot of buildings/wonders and this will take me some time, so dont wonder when not all buildings/wonders will have a Specialist Slot for now.

For the balance, its not completed yet, but i hope we are on a good way, its a long run to manage the balance for a mod of this scale.

Also i hope i can update the last misleading text entries with the next update and do some more polishing as well.

I figured it had something to do with the specialist slots since it had some weird numbers sticking to them.

A mod of this scale? You are totally understating here anything but massive is a total understatement. Im totally fine with things beeing Work in Progress and i hope i can help find some bugs to make this mod even more awesome.

With the crashes mostly gone i think i finally can finish my first CCTP game from pre historic to end. Sooo looking foward to this weekend when i have more time to play it.
 
The strange number on the Specialist in the city view, is not really causing a problem.
Its more a result that we use lua scripts to grand resources via Specialist.
 
(Sorry for my late answer :d) Gyogen, this "patch" from you is don't working... probably, cuz i had this problem again, but only in golden era. It's weird, because it's not happening in the first golden era :/ Sorry again, and as far as I can see, you're on a good way to fix this bug :)

Instructions are in file. Clear moduserdata and cache.

I tried to go through every building in game to be sure it's fixed, but there are so many, I may have missed some. If you have any golden age great person spamming, please note what building had just been built and let me know.[
 
What's with the Polish Wonders? ;]

What is with them?

When you count the numbers of wonders and you compare them with each country, you will see poland got a lot, even germany has only 3-5.
 
Is it ok to use custom maps with this mod? I prefer to play on huge maps of Europe, Mediteranean or Eurasia, but there are none specifically made for this mod.
 
Ah ok. Do you recommend waiting a bit before starting a new game or is the current version gtg for quite some time?:lol:
