Customized civilisations in multiplayer ?

Hello guys,

My friend just bought Civ 5 so we started to play together. We successfully added some mods but now, we would like to add some new civilisations from the Steam Workshop. Is there a way to do this ?

Mods do not work in multiplayer. However you can make them work by tricking the game into thinking they are DLCs.

This is called making a "modpack", you can find some premade ones to download or make your own: https://www.reddit.com/r/civvoxpopuli/wiki/modpack

Whether you download one or make one, the final product goes in the steam/steamapp/common/civ5/asset/dlc folder. Make sure your friend has the exact same modpack as you do.
