I'm new to MonMod, and so far like it. I was looking for a longer game and bigger map, and got that. I haven't decided if I like the new tech tree, it'll take some time to learn the new wonders and where they come from and what they do. But I am all for a bigger tech tree in general!
What I do find less than ideal is the land graphics. I find it is hard to distiguish all the green tiles, and in general it's a bit muddy.
Is there a tile set that is clearer? Maybe the original bts with the new stuff added would be ok.
