Is there a way to see exact numbers of relations between nations and why they are that way?

I.E.

+3 "We respect our brothers and sisters in the faith"
+1 "Long years of peace...."
-2 "Our close borders...."

etc.

As for as I can see, it either says nothing, or gives a very imprecise word like "hostile" or "friendly" and AFAIK doesn't say why.

Am I overlooking something?

No you're not overlooking anything. The modifiers aren't written out for you anywhere. All you have are hints based on what the AI leaders say. If for example they greet you as "the bloodthirsty one" you're generating a lot of warmonger hate.

Ah, so was this intended for making the human player guess instead of reading a list.

Also I forgot to ask but are world maps able to be traded?
