Diplomacy Screen, Choosing the right Image

I am looking to create a mod that will be able to use still images instead in a diplomacy screen. is there any possible to way to set the image specifically to the type of diplomacy response that is being displayed?

The only way to use still images is to go into your video options and set the Leader quality to minimum. There is only one fallback image in that case, however.

The only way I can think of to accomplish your idea is to NOT use minimum quality, and set your leader to use a flat plate as its 3D model. Then you'd "project" your image as a texture onto the plate. However, I'm not an expert, and even this might not be possible. You could try asking Ekmek or Deliverator.
