Does this work with Civ IV Gold edition?

I've been having issues installing FfH and when I checked for updates it said I didn't need any new ones.

So can I install this onto my Gold edition?

FfH2 will work with Civ IV Gold, but you must also have and install the Civ IV Beyond the Sword expansion. Furthermore, once you install Beyond the Sword you must then patch the game to v3.19. The automatic update does not always work correctly, so it may be necessary to download and install this patch manually.

To see the version you currently have installed, load the game and from the main menu choose "OPTIONS", then "ABOUT THIS BUILD", and see the line "Build Version". Once v3.19 has been successfully installed it should read "3.1.9.0".
