That has been fixed on the SVN as far as I know.

The SVN is the beta environment where the developers put their latest work. It has the advantage that it is up to date. Unfortunately that means that on occasion things go wrong and it can't be played. It is usually fixed quite quickly.

The +50 food per plot from the volcano has little effect in C2C if you want to continue your game. You can continue your game after upgrading to the SVN as C2C saves is almost always compatible across new versions. Upgrading wont remove that extra food on the plots.

C2C has a food wastage system. So most of those extra food units are destroyed and do not add to growth.
