[BNW] Flickering units

Every unit is flickering from the beginning of a game, with or without mods. It's not the infamous terrain flickering, only each unit in the game. I tried reinstalling the game, tried every graphic setting, deleting cache. I'm using DX9 and Windows 10 (Virtual Machine, but that should't make any difference), but it was the same under Window 7 as well. As far as I remember XP was good (but there's no Vox Populi on XP...)
Any tips how to fix it, or anyone with the same problem?
