I...am...an Enchanter!
My civ game frequently crashes(...has performed an illegal operation ) when I am managing a large number of cities, usually when I am almost done reviewing them all. I finally think I found out what is causing it and wondered if I need a patch or something.
I am using Civ II Multi-player Gold Edition straight out of the box, purchased last summer.
What happens is that I often review all my cities by going into the city screen and then hitting the Up-arrow button (next to "Info") to go to the next city. Occasionally (usually after reviewing 90% of my cities) I get the message above and the game is lost...I have to go back to my last saved game.
I have figured out that if I accidentally Right-click on the arrow button instead of a normal left-click, I crash the game. I guess after going through so many cities my hand starts to get tired and I bump the other button on the mouse (at least that's what happened last night). I tried out this theory and any right click on that arrow button crashes the game.
Has anyone else seen this? Is there some patch that fixes it?
HELP!!!
