Game won't start P:

I got up to DX 9 or 10/11 selection box. But when I click 9, it just pops up and almost instantly closes. When I click 11, a screen comes up but it remains a blank black screen and eventually becomes unresponsive and the dreaded "-insert program here- has stopped working" box appears. I'm not computer literate either, so I don't have a clue why it isn't working lol.

EDIT:
I did some searching and I think these are what my specs are...don't laugh if I'm wrong lol.

The problem is this:

Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

The graphics card is below the minimum specs (unless i confused the damn names again, but i'm pretty sure, took a look at the chart before ), it can't handle Civ5.
A "new" (not really new, 2 years old is enough) dedicated graphics card should be enough to get the game to work.
