I recently made some interesting programs that depicit graphically the 'growth' of ten civilizations, or colors.

1) GrowG - simulates no wars.
2) GrowH - simulates a balance of power
3) GrowI - simulates a very fast 'gobbling' effect
4) GrowL - simulates a much slower 'gobbling effect'

My next experiments will include regional power control and alliances, if I continue this. The ultimate goal is to simulate a real CivIII (or real-world) power struggle.

Comments are appreciated. :D

EDIT: 134 posts see? You can trust me..

Cool, looks kinda fractal. But I think GrowL was faster than GrowI.
If you perfect this program, the computer will play our games for us and we will just have to watch :)

Lt. "Killer" M.: Ok, I will :)

Thanks for the comment, Arvedui :D

I would say that GrowL is perhaps faster.. I tried to avoid the balloon effect.

I will make the balance of power stop after there are no more black square, and then I will pit one color against another..

First random 'wars' :crazyeye:, then perhaps a country picks a smaller opponent.

There's a lot of growth possible in my little program(s).

Here's the zip.

All programming was done with QBasic and compiled with FirstBasic
