Apparently the list is incomplete.

Ireland and Cyprus are in the EU and Euro but not SchengenWell, this has something to do with the EU I assume.
Maroon is the Eurozone countries,
red are the countries which are part of the EU and in the Schengen but not in the Eurozone,
orange countries are in the EU but not in the Schengen and Eurozone,
green is the EEA (Switzerland is light green because she is part of the Schengen and the EEA but not an EU member)
Ireland is strange tho.
Edit: Ah, the blue countries are part of The Council of Europe, but not any EU related.
Yellow countries are bound to the EU by Customs Union
