Help: civ not working right!

I just got my cd from amazon, but now after installing I have 2 new problems.
1st of all, when I put disk 2( the "play" disk) into ythe computer, it says I put the wrong disk in. However, when I put disk 1, ( the "install" disk) in, it starts up. Are my disks mixed up? 2nd, the units on screen are shown as 1 soilder, instaed of 3.

Yeah, install disc is also a play disk.

And the number of soldiers is something you have to set up. I've read that for people with lower end systems that the game will default to one soldier, in order to go easy on resources. That's possibly what's happening. If not, look into your options setting, you'll find something there to change it.

If you want 3 units, make sure the "Single Unit Graphics" button is UNchecked in the graphical settings.
